Scientists discover new planets!
Astronomers find 32 new planets outside our solar system, which adds evidence to the theory that the universe has many places where life could develop.
Scientists used telescopes at the European Southern Observatory (ESO, for its initials in English) found no planet the size of Earth, anyone who shone habitable or even one that was rare for some reason, but his announcement raised the figure of planets discovered outside our solar system, more than 400. Six of the newly discovered planets are several times larger than Earth, so that the number of planets called super-Earths "increased more than 30%. Most of the planets discovered so far are much larger, Jupiter-sized or even bigger.
What the astronomers said it is particularly exciting is the high percentage - about half - of a type of planetary systems with relatively few bright stars that have planets around them. This was more than expected theory of planet formation, astronomers said.
The discoveries were made by the so-called Planet Finder for High Accuracy Radial Velocity (HARPS, for its acronym in English) that seeks to slight changes in the movements of a star caused by gravity of a planet.
